Erik Hemingway has sailed 17,000 miles and saw 25 countries with his family of 8. One of the six children was born on the 3 1/2 year adventure. He acknowledges his wife’s bravery and believes there is “No question that she’s my support during this trip and every single day.”
Communication was an integral key to the success of this adventure. “You’re going to have disagreements. There’s never a point when it’s straight and smooth sailing (pardon the pun). We wanted to give them tools.”
Erik provides advice for those wanting to take a trip of their own.
