Lorraine Scapens

Lorraine Scapens has trained 1000s of women over the past 20 years as a Les-Mills personal trainer as well as through her own specialised programs for Mums.

Lorraine knows a thing or two about social media.  At the date of the interview she had 28 thousand Facebook followers, 14 thousand Instagram followers and 3 thousand YouTube followers.  It’s taken 3 years to build this audience and Lorraine is clear that you need to generate traffic to your website and that social media “…really really helps to build great relationships with your clients.”

Lorraine has thousands come to her monthly webinars.  Her focus is one of generosity.  “I use webinars to help me pass on the information and my experience to a much wider audience.”

Lorraine’s top tips for after baby exercise:

  1. Rest
  2. Specific exercise – abdominal, pelvic floor, gluteus.
  3. Nutrition – Protein
  4. Hydration – 3-4 litres every day.

 

  • Believe in yourself.
  • Listen to advice.
  • Set up a good support system.
  • Learn to use social media.
